Trickery Knit-a-Long Part 3 : working hard

I’m working hard on my Trickery knit-a-long stole. The Feline Overlord is working hard on slowing me down. I am a pretty competent knitter. She is a VERY talented trouble maker. Her trouble making skills kick the crap out of my knitting skills.

I had a busy week so the Feline Overlord is feeling a bit neglected. Poor baby.

There were a few extra knit lessons this week. There was a few extra errands too. There was also one whole evening spent getting a suddenly dead truck battery replaced. So I haven’t been at home as much as I should and Her Royal Cat-ness has not been getting enough attention.

I did have another Trickery Knit-a-Long video planned for you. But this kept happening:

So you don’t get that video. S’ok. My time on that particular evening was better spent shining the red lazer beam all around the living room.

When I have found a few minutes to sit down and knit there is usually a cat in my lap with 3.2 seconds. One can try to knit on top of said cat and I have.

That didn’t go so well. I had to put down the Trickery and properly address my attention to a very important issue: the itchiness of a certain kitty’s armpits.

She has given me a little time to myself here and there. Not much. Mostly I’ve been taking Trickery along with me. But today is an at-home day (I need it) and a knit-all-day day and hopefully I will make some progress. I’m feeling optimistic because even bad kitties can’t be bad 24/7. They need to take breaks for nap time.

You love her don’t you? You love her maybe more then the Trickery stole don’t you? You’d be just fine if I gave up the knitting/crocheting/spinning and just posted kitty stuff day in and day out wouldn’t you?

Btw, I did get a short How To Comment guide written. I’ll keep a link to it up there in the top menu for a while. Things are going well with the new comment section from what I can tell. And perhaps this particular post will pacify a particularly irate commenter. (See that guide if your interested in reading the complaint left by a certain party.)

🙂

Must be something in the air! I’ve been working on hats for Alaska, came down this morning to find not only the yarn chewed in half, but the cord on my needles chewed in half! Not sure whether to make an appointment to have all his teeth pulled, or find a cat-proof container for my WIPs

First I hope your fur baby is okay.

After that I hope you yelled and fussed and stomped around like a 500 pound gorilla. that’s what I do when my babies are outrageously bad. It doesn’t seem to impress them, but it makes me feel a little better.

Also… I hope that wasn’t your favorite set of circulars. man, I’d be pissed.

My progress is slower than I had hoped but tomorrow I will have lots of time to work on it. I have about 4 inches of the center part done. I will post later this week on G+.

Yep there’s something in the air. Last night working on a baby afghan with one of my furry babies at my feet when suddenly mid stitch my yarn ended with a WET gnarled end. This sweet innocent face looking up at me! I didn’t even feel him chewing. Jenn your How To Comment section is great and I always love the antics of the Overloard. They certainly have use trained.

huh. Another report of bad kitty behavior? Maybe they are gearing up for something big. Maybe kitties everywhere are about to make their move and subjugate us once and for all.

Or maybe it was just a regular Sunday. I’ll be on high alert just in case.

That last sentence should say “us trained” not “use trained”.

Lol! Naughty kittens are the best though…

They certainly make for more stuff to write about. Poor Boy Kitty never gets any ink. but all he does is sleep and eat.
