Pie Are Square* is done. Que the sight of relief.
You know that feeling you get when you finish off a big project and think now what? Yeah, I’m not having that feeling at all. I’ve been working on this to the exclusion of everything else that I am practically vibrating with the need to knit on another project.
But first blocking. This baby needs a block in a big way. Are you seeing those ruffles? Me too. Are you wondering if they will block out? Me too. I do have a set a blocking wires from Knit Picks to play with so I’ll putting this shawl through some serious stretching.
And that’s all I have for you today. I’d apologize for the short post but honestly, I’ve been too busy knitting to write about knitting!
* The Pie Are Square pattern was published in Knitting Around. As far as I know its not available individually. You have to get the book. But… its a great book to have and I recommend it.

Woah! (gasp) You have certainly created a magnificent piece of knitting art! OMGoodness, just look at all of those stitches….ooooo, aaahhhh.
lolol. Thanks hun. I do appreciate the cheerleading!
Woo-Hoo!! Block away and knit on some of that fabulous new yarn you got!! (Finishing a project is the best excuse for casting on a new one, right??)
Finishing the absolutely the best excuse to start a new project. Or maybe two.
Fantastic! I love my blocking wires…and the blocking pins that come in the box…with those two, I can block a six foot shawl with no problem!
I hope you really celebrate this huge accomplishment!
I’m looking forward to blocking and those blocking wires should make it much easier for a piece this big. Having to pin every one of those points would be a pain.
