I had some trouble with a friend, a very dear friend. I almost lost this friend. And it was over knitting.
Cheating on my intricate cabled socks with a big easy shawl. I never was any good at staying faithful to a knitting project.
Never take a knitting lesson from Yoda. He only cares about results, he’ll make you feel like a failure when you make a mistake, and he doesn’t care if you go and get your hand chopped off.
I’ve resolved to spend at least two hours everyday doing serious knitting. That’s like resolving to go to the gym everyday only way, way less miserable and sucky.

What does a knitter do when its non-stop rain and flash floods outside? The same thing she does when its sunny and gorgeous. She knits! But when its wet and yucky and the sun never shines she knits grumpy.
A tee-shirt, two shawls, and a wrap. That’s what I’m working on. Three terrible days of no-knitting have ended and I have to make up for lost time!
So I’m up to four projects and I feel better. I’m going to work on them all. At the same time. While drinking coffee. It will be a marathon of knitting and crochet and it will make me a much more pleasant person.
