Today is Hooray Day for me because I’m (mostly) finished with my Rag Bag Crochet Tote.

I like the bag. The Feline Overlord likes the bag. Even Cowardly Boy Cat seems to like the bag. Best of all? I have plenty of pictures to show how I (mostly) finished it off, instead of a bunch of clever excuses like last time.

I’m (mostly) finished with my crochet tote bag made from old sheets. I’ve been working on this, slowly but steadily, for a few weeks. First I turned those old sheets into “yarn”. I got that done, in spite of all the interference from very bad, very spoiled cats. Then I crocheted the bag, in spite of all the interference from very bad, very spoiled cats.

When last we checked in on the Rag Bag, it looked like this:

I used up almost all of the rest of the pale yellow and got it looking like this:

But its wasn’t done because it needed a closure flap. So I added a small square, worked back and forth, with a button hole.

Then of course it needed a button! I have a fondness for buttons. Any day I get to put one on a project is a good day.

But its wasn’t done because it needed handles. I braided those…

…and used the loose ends to attach them to the inside of the bag.

Then I tried to take a picture of the (mostly) finished bag.

Then I gave up and went to bed. I think Feline Overlord slept on the (mostly) finished bag all night. The next day, when the sun came up, I went outside to get my picture.

I got it. Eventually.

But its only mostly finished. Why? It needs a liner. I’m doing that today and I’ll totally share my cheater-cheater, ulta easy way to add a liner to a tote bag.
