Woken Up Early. Must Spin.

Facebooktwittergoogle_pluspinteresttumblr

Beep.

Clang.

Crash.

Some evil person was operating heavy machinery on my street at 5:30 AM this morning and it woke me up. Not much. It only woke up up enough to make me crack an eye, grumble, and roll over. But then I sneezed and sneezed again and then again. That of course alerted the feline wonder twins that I was officially awake and it was time for them to begin their regular morning demands for food-now-omg-FOOD!

What do I do with myself when I’m awake at the butt-crack of dawn? I spin. Knitting and crocheting require me to have eyeballs that focus and a functioning brain. But spinning I can do blindfolded while doped up on Benadryl. Or you know, when I’m still half-asleep.

A Guide For Getting Ready To Spin Outside on a Chilly Morning

…and your me …and you live with a very bad kitty

Step one: Put some handknit socks on your feet (cuz its chilly).

Step two: Hang the fiber bag made for you by a special friend way up high where the very bad kitty can’t reach it.

Step three: Put the coffee mug sweater on the coffee mug to keep it warm (I’m telling you its 72 degrees this morning! brrrr) and get yourself a healthy breakfast.

Step four: Set out a cardboard box with a crocheted blanket for the very bad kitty.

Step five: Get the spinning wheel.

Step six: Chase off the very bad kitty that got out of her box and stole your chair while you were taking all these pictures

Step seven: Rescue your healthy breakfast from the very bad kitty.

Step eight: Spin.

I hope you got to sleep in, unlike me. If not, I have plenty of coffee and roving to share and you can even borrow the very bad kitty. But get your own donuts cuz I don’t share those.

I’ve been known to sit on the patio at 6.30.am and spin, but I like tea and toast mmmm.

Great! I’m glad you like it and maybe hubby can be talked into playing with the yarn sometime.

Yeah, htat is probably as likely as me going fishing. But one can hope.

I had thought your new blog site didn’t allow feedback, duh! Finally scrolled down enough to see it. Thanks a bunch for yesterday’s freebie links. And I’m with you on #’s 1 and 2, but after I get the coffee, I just stare off into space for an hour or so, “wool gathering”, LOL.

P.S. I’m so jealous about your getting lifetime internet for $10!!! Any tips to get same?

Wool gathering, *gigglesnort*

The $10 for basic internet is an offer from Google Fiber which has VERY limited service area. As far as I know every city in the world wants to be on that plan but only Kansas City, Austin, & Provo are on the list. Don’t ask me how Austin managed to be one of these three but I’m sure it was expensive and called for a lot of brown-nosing to Google.

72 degrees!!! That’s comfortable daytime highs for shorts and tee-shirts. I’m with Bev; nothing gets between me and my coffee and my recliner and staring into space no matter what time I get up. I enjoy your blog.

I can’t sit much not even when I first get up. I must be too twitchy. Or maybe the kitties are just succeeding in their plan to drive me bonkers.

Glad you like the blog! I love writing for it.

Got your post twice again today. The first around 9:30am wouldn’t let me comment. Kept giving an option to search. The second came in 2:30ish. Anyway…I do hate loud noises early in the morning. Oh yes coffee first then my furry children and off to take g’daughter to school. THEN I sit with more coffee, crochet some. What I call “clearing the cobwebs”.

Sorry for the fuss. I finally figured out why 2 notices were going out to my subscribers. I have two lists: the old list from my old site and the current list that goes with this site. The new list includes all the subscribers from the old site so … many people were on both. Those people got two notices. Again, sorry about that.

I think I scrubbed out all the duplicates. Its should be fixed. I think.
