Making Up for Lost Time
A tee-shirt, two shawls, and a wrap. That’s what I’m working on. Three terrible days of no-knitting have ended and I have to make up for lost time!

So I’m up to four projects and I feel better. I’m going to work on them all. At the same time. While drinking coffee. It will be a marathon of knitting and crochet and it will make me a much more pleasant person.
Earlier in the week I wrote a post justifying myself for knitting in the dead of night. Well, this post is to justify myself for knitting while high. Because I am.
Is it lonely and sad? Is it a way to clear the mind? Or is it just that you can’t stop knitting? Let’s explore the issue.
My days off are boring. I knit. I drink coffee. I read. I eat junk food. Tomorrow people will ask what I did and they will be disappointed.
Pffft. People just don’t know what’s good! Good is knitting and reading and coffee and junk food.
I’ll (still) never knit any Herbert Niebling designs.
Never.
Ever.
And you can’t make me.
Beware the Cotlin. Its too relaxing. Only knit with it when you are wide awake and have five or six cups of coffee racing through your blood stream.
I’m heading to Hill Country Weavers, a wonderful local yarn store. The place may be small but its stuffed with yarn-y goodness.
I’m only going to buy needles though. Honest. Want to come with?
I used to agree that spinning wheels were a big investment. Not anymore. You know what everyone buys that costs about the same as a wheel?
Ready to pick the colors for your next project? If you want to play it safe, I have the perfect color for you to consider.
