To knit and crochet in public, and enjoy yourself, requires the right project, the right stuff, and the right attitude. It might be a bit of a sassy attitude but I’m sure with my coaching and plenty of practice you can be a snarky in-public stitcher!
You’ll be relieved to hear that therapists and mental health professional types have decided knitting and crocheting are good for you. But you kind of already knew that didn’t you?
I knit and crochet almost non-stop and so I use a lot of yarn. All that yarn needs to be wound into cakes and I’m happy to do it. Making yarn cakes is the epitome of playing with yarn.
In which I propose a radical plan to convince the non-knitters and non-crocheters around us that what we do is challenging, extraordinary, and we all deserve mad respect.
