Its the Grand bunnymuff Giveaway – Day One! Meet your guide on this, our week-long “adventurous giveaway”. Just answer his teeny, tiny question in the comments section, and you’ll be entered to win one of the two lovely knitting patterns!
And come back tomorrow. There will be more.
Dear fellow adventurers,
My name is Lumpy J. Custard, grand traveler and scenic explorer. I disembarked from the Lune de Bazaruto weary from a long, swaying and bobbing journey. The lunar light waves were not so gentle this time.
Whenever I land in the lovely Los Angeles, I must pay a visit to my good friend bunnymuff. I was leisurely savoring my coffey malt whisky when she sat down next to me. Without so much as a greeting, she exclaimed: “Lumpy, I need your help!”
I am a resolute bear, but there is a right order to everything. I order bunnymuff’s usual New Yorker, a mix of pisco and grapefruit and wait for the ice cubes to gently clank against the wall of my glass from dramatic effect. The New Yorker arrives. “What can I do for you, bunnymuff?”
“It is time for my first giveaway!” she says after a quick sip of the deliciously pink cocktail, and a second, prolonged one. “I don’t think I can do it on my own… I had to disentangle myself from the mound of yarn just to get… won’t you be the host?”
I muttered. I am a bear of adventures, not glamourous events. But, it is bunnymuff. How could I refuse?
Here it is! The bunnymuff adventurous giveaway!
Each day for the next four days, two lucky visitors will each win a bunnymuff pattern. On day 5 and 6, for the grand prize, I will bestow the two brand new ebooks of knit gifts: From Paris, with Love and Urban Knits.
The rules are simple. Each day I will ask a question. Simply answer in the comment section to be entered for a chance to win. You can also answer on social media, you can find me on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest!
Without further ado, here are the patterns of the day…
…and the question:
What was the most adventurous location where you knit?

While riding my horse Prince.
ooo! That sounds like a scene from a movie.
hahah, I immediately saw you bouncing around with yarn and flowers flying through the air, scarf flowing in the wind…but I am sure it was a gorgeous calm ride in the forest or something?
The most adventurous place I think I have knitted was in a hospital cafeteria, where we were knitting Balaclavas for the homeless. We were told we had to stop because it was against the hospital’s policy to “Raise Awareness”.
Sigh. That’s sad but not a surprise. After all, humans are such a dumb species.
WHAT?! That is ridiculous, and aren’t hospitals all about doing no harm? EE gads!
It’s always an adventure to knit when my big fat cat Pearl sits on my lap! She sits so close that I have to hold my knitting on the far side of her fat, sweet body! She makes all my knitting a huge adventure!
Now I know just how difficult it can be to knit around the spoiled cat. Very, very difficult. Not only do you have to contort yourself into some pretty weird positions but you have to make sure the movement and the working yarn doesn’t disturb their majesty’s rest.
hahahha, so you are knitting and ANYTHING could happen, a paw, a nose, a big tail!
On the back of our Motorcycle while Hubby is driving?
Sounds just like that story they tell about Elizabeth Zimmerman. She used to do that too. And one time a cop pulled them over for it!
No?! Really? Safety hazard??
Ok, that would definitely have to be speedy and wind and yarn SWOOSHING by!
In a British MG Midget convertable during a road race. Taming the yarn flying in my face was more exciting than the race itself!
Now that does sound like an adventure!
Tell me you weren’t the driver.
Not the driver, but I was *supposed* to be navigating!
That is so cool, though, if it was a gift it comes with a story, and if it was for you you will always have a great memory when you wear it!
